Okay, went back in for a couple hours and "finished" this, if anyone ever finds it. It's a multiplayer game, but you can play it single player if you just want to put together and watch the world's greatest press conference.
Unfinished, alas. But I got the multiplayer controller support/lobby working, which was my secret main goal!
